Abstract

|
목적: 본 연구는 일개 병원 간호사를 대상으로 직무스트레스와 과민성 장 증후군의 관계를 알아보았다.
방법: 과민성 장 증후군을 진단하기 위하여 Rome Ⅲ를 사용하였고, 간호사의 직무 스트레스를 측정하기 위해 스트레스 요인 9개의 영역인 43문항으로 구성하였다. 자료 수집은 2009년 7월 10일부터 7월31일까지 익산시 W대학교 병원의 간호사를 대상으로 하여 395명의 설문지를 이용하였다.
결과: 간호사의 과민성 장 증후군에 대한 유병률은 24.3%로 나타났다. 일반적 특성에 따른 과민성 장 증후군 유병여부에 유의한 관련요인은 밤 근무 일수, 지난 6개월 동안 복통 혹은 복부 불쾌감으로 의료기관 방문 여부와 약물 복용 여부였다. 과민성 장 증후군 대상자와 정상군 사이에 유의한 차이를 보인 직무스트레스 하부영역은 ‘의사와의 갈등’, ‘기타 인력과의 대인관계상 문제’, ‘보호자와 환자에 관련된 사항’으로 과민성 장 증후군 대상자가 정상군보다 높았다. 과민성 장 증후군과 간호사의 직무 스트레스 관계에 대한 인식에서 과민성 장 증후군과 관련이 있다는 응답이 96.9%, 과민성 장 증후군에 분류되지 않는 정상군도 79.3%가 관련이 있다고 응답하였다.
결론: 이상의 본 연구결과를 종합해 볼 때 간호사의 과민성 장 증후군이 스트레스와 연관을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 과민성 장 증후군에 대한 교육과 과민성 장 증후군을 가진 간호사에게 스트레스를 감소시키는 노력이 필요하다.

Purpose: This study was to investigate the relationship between IBS and nurses’ occupational stress.
Method: We used the modified Rome Ⅲ criteria to measure the relationship between IBS and nurses’ occupational stress. This questionnaire is composed of 9 areas and 43 items related to the stress. We collected the data of 395 respondents from W hospital. The survey was done from July 10th to July 31th, 2009.
Results: The morbidity of IBS showed 24.3%. It was significantly influenced by night shift, and hospital visits and medication because of abdominal discomfort for the past 6 months. The causes of the nurses’ occupational stress, which influenced the difference between IBS and non-IBS group, were “conflict with doctors” “difficulties in human relationships” “dealing with guardians and patients.” The IBS group’s stress was higher that of the non-IBS group. Also 96.9% of the IBS group and 79.3% of the non-IBS group responded there was relationship between IBS and nurses occupational stress.
Conclusion: We found the relationship between IBS and nurses’ occupational stress. And such stress could be reduced through the education about IBS.
